My son, if you be surety for your friend, you hast stricken your hand with a stranger,

1 My son, if you be surety for your friend, you hast stricken your hand with a stranger,
2 you art snared with the words of your mouth, you art taken with the words of your mouth.
3 Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when you art come into the hand of your friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure your friend.
