1 [To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David.] My Elohim, my Elohim, why hast you forsaken me? far from helping me, the words of my roaring?
2 O my Elohim, I cry in the daytime, but you hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.
3 But you holy, that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
4 Our fathers trusted in you: they trusted, and you didst deliver them.
5 They cried unto you, and were delivered: they trusted in you, and were not confounded.
